"Following the success of Tropa-Fandanga, Teatro Praga returns to the Portuguese revue with Bravo 2023!. Forcing itself to adhere to the principle of permanent updating imposed by traditional revues, to be more in tune with the times, Bravo 2023! makes this its theme. Its tight structure is used to take stock of the past year, proposing a show that is an atlas of the most notable events of 2023. Presented in the fairground theaters of Paris in the early 18th century, the first revues consisted of a burlesque and caricatured review of events and figures that had stood out in the previous twelve months. This is the model imported to Portugal. Proving that it "has a soul and never dies," Teatro Praga's Bravo 2023! closes the year with a joyful, wild show, sure to shake up even the quietest spirits and excite the audience with a review that makes us hum songs and give life a standing ovation. A spectacle of praise and accolades, of accidents, tragedies, laughter, and criticism, that seeks the most just way for turbulent times, where pasts and geographies intertwine. With stumbling and kicking, the year is reviewed to the sound of morale-boosting music and a text written by many hands, which makes us desire the impossible, and which speaks of history, of what is near and what is far. The theater once again rolls out the red carpet that leads us to the theater. Bravo 2023! It's an end-of-year yearbook where anything can happen.‘’ A show by Teatro Praga Painting Canvas: Adriana Proganó
